Mr. Douglas is within his rights as a critic to express his views. That’s what critics do. So no need for fans of the movie to pile on. I did see a snippet of Nic Cage as Dracula and I think his edgy, off-center portrayal is brilliant. On the other hand, looks like the film is committed to an abundance of gore. I don’t mind a ridiculously gory scene thrown in for some shock/comic value. But if you keep getting this over and over again, it’s like sitting next to the guy in a bar who keeps telling you the same joke over and over while jabbing you with his elbow to remind you to laugh.

I've never seen someone whoosh so hard on a movie as Edward Douglas whooshed on Renfield.

> Any critic who tells you otherwise – if they say it’s fun, or heaven forbid, they recommend you go see it – they were likely plied with free alcohol before they watched it. I can’t imagine anyone liking this otherwise.

I clicked on your review because it's the only negative one Rotten Tomatoes currently lists. What is your over/under on what its RT score will be one week after it hits wide release?
