LMAO sorry for playing catch-up with your last couple months of reviews and spamming your comments -- I never get to talk about mainstream cinema with people who've seen and have thoughts about it. In fact, I could talk even longer about how I've felt at the movies -- flag me down when you see me in Harlem next month and hear for yourself :P

But yeah, this film -- mixed bag, this one! They had some fun with the scenic design, there's a really interesting premise with each iteration of the Groundhog Day loop introducing a different genre of horror into the mix, and there's some great head explosions; more importantly I actually found myself really enjoying spending time with these doomed teenagers, which is not a given for this style of movie! But unfortunately I just... don't think there was much of a throughline here, and this becomes really obvious towards the end where they just watch a highlight reel of "creepy stuff that happened over the past week" on their phones, one of the purest "the screenwriter just gives up" moments I can think of in recent movies.

Quiara, thank you so much for your comments -- I always appreciate reading intelligent discourse even when someone doesn't like a movie as much as I do. I definitely appreciate you reading them and commenting, and totally, at Lollapuzzoola, we need to sit at the same table and chat about movies in between puzzles.
