Hopefully, you’ve already watched my interview with Night Patrol director Ryan Prows, but I also had a chance to speak with some of his actors, in what is another interesting ensemble cast, similar to Prows’ 2017 genre comedy, Lowlife.
I was particularly excited to talk to Nicki Mineaux, who had such a breakout role in that film and who had another great character written specifically for her. I also spoke with Jermaine Fowler (The Blackening) and RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), who play brothers on the opposite side of the law in Prows’ L.A.-based vampire cop thriller that also has rapper Freddie Gibbs in a key role. Note that I spoke with Fowler separately from the other three actors, who were getting a little silly at times, although they both were generally fun interviews.
Night Patrol, which is now playing nationwide, also stars Justin Long, Dermot Mulroney, CM Punk, and more.
